Imagination

Imagination is intimately related to affordance perception. Perceiving an affordance is not merely seeing what is present — it involves seeing future action possibilities - seeing an event now...extending into the so-called future. But event-perception is based on spatio-temporal event information - Gibson's insight. Metaffordances extend our ability to "see the future" by amplifying the information present.
